SMS Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: October 13, 2026
These SMS Terms & Conditions govern text messages sent by Tolin & Tolin, PLLC (“Tolin & Tolin,” “the Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By affirmatively consenting to receive text messages from Tolin & Tolin, PLLC, you agree to these SMS Terms & Conditions.
Program Description
Tolin & Tolin, PLLC may send text messages to prospective clients, current clients, former clients, and others who have affirmatively consented to receive applicable messages from the Firm.
Depending on the nature of your relationship with the Firm and the consent you have provided, messages may include:
- responses to inquiries about legal services;
- links to online intake forms;
- requests to confirm or correct contact information;
- intake follow-up;
- requests for documents or information;
- appointment or scheduling information;
- deadline or reminder messages;
- account or client-service notifications;
- case-related or matter-related communications;
- instructions concerning next steps;
- follow-up concerning a legal inquiry;
- information about Firm services;
- communications with prospective, current, or former clients;
- marketing or promotional communications where the appropriate consent has been obtained; and
- other communications related to your interaction or relationship with the Firm.
Service-Related Messages
Service-related text messages may include customer-care communications and account notifications concerning a legal inquiry, intake process, appointment, matter, requested service, or other interaction with Tolin & Tolin.
A person may consent to service-related SMS communications by:
- verbally agreeing during a telephone conversation;
- requesting that information be sent by text;
- providing a mobile number through a Firm intake or contact process and affirmatively agreeing to receive service-related messages;
- initiating an SMS exchange with the Firm; or
- otherwise affirmatively requesting or agreeing to service-related SMS communications.
Service-related consent applies to communications reasonably related to the inquiry, matter, service, or relationship for which that consent was provided.
Marketing and Promotional Messages
Marketing or promotional SMS communications are treated separately from service-related communications.
Marketing messages may include:
- information about Tolin & Tolin legal services;
- information about new or expanded Firm services;
- reminders that the Firm is available to assist with legal matters;
- educational or service-related information intended to develop or maintain a business relationship;
- follow-up with prospective or former clients; and
- other promotional or business-development communications concerning Firm services.
Where separate marketing consent is required, Tolin & Tolin will obtain affirmative consent specifically authorizing marketing or promotional SMS communications.
For online intake or contact processes, marketing consent may be requested through a separate, optional, unchecked SMS consent control.
Consent to receive service-related text messages does not by itself constitute consent to receive marketing or promotional text messages.
Consent to receive marketing or promotional text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of obtaining or purchasing legal services from Tolin & Tolin.
Consent
Tolin & Tolin, PLLC will obtain appropriate consent before sending SMS communications for which consent is required.
Consent methods may differ depending on the type of communication.
Service-related consent may be obtained verbally, electronically, through an intake or contact process, through an inbound SMS interaction, or through another affirmative method.
Marketing or promotional consent may be obtained through a separate affirmative written or electronic opt-in or another permitted documented consent method.
When consent is obtained, the Firm may retain records showing when, how, and for what type of communications consent was provided.
Additional information about how the Firm obtains SMS consent is available at:

Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the Firm and the types of communications for which you have consented.
You may receive multiple messages relating to a legal inquiry, intake process, appointment, account, matter, or requested service.
If you separately consent to marketing or promotional communications, the frequency of those messages may also vary.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and service plan.
Tolin & Tolin, PLLC does not charge a separate fee for receiving SMS communications from the Firm.

You may also use another supported opt-out keyword, including CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPT OUT, or UNSUBSCRIBE.
After you opt out, you may receive a final confirmation message acknowledging your request.
No further messages will be sent through the applicable SMS program unless you subsequently provide new consent or otherwise re-enroll through an available Firm opt-in process.
